The war goddess known as the Badb (Crow) or Badb Catha (Battle Crow) in Irish mythology frequently assumes the shape of a crow. Badb is one of the three Morrígna, a group of battle deities, along with her sisters Macha and the Morrígan.

She is known for making warriors feel terrified and perplexed, which influences the outcome of battle. Her appearances before conflicts are often used to foretell oncoming bloodshed or the death of a significant figure. Her haunting cries used in battle has led to her being compared to the Bean-Sídhe (Banshee).
