18.00

This Lunar Calendar 2024 depicts the dates for the New, Full, and Quarter Moons. It additionally includes the dates for the four main Gaelic seasonal festivals, Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtaine, and Lughnasadh, in along with the moon's and sun's phase.

The coming of the new moon is deeply rooted in Neolithic and Folkloric Irish culture. Rock art found at Knowth in County Meath's Ancient Passage Cairn, on Kerb Stone 52, depicts the 19-year lunar cycle called the ''metonic cycle'. When the Moon returns to the same phase and position in the sky.

Irish tradition has numerous beliefs surrounding the new moon. People were to kneel down to offer worship for abundance, health, and good fortune. In the practice of herbalism this is known as placing your intent into something to give it greater strength.
